  • What is Fuchs' Dystrophy

Fuchs dystrophy is indeed a genetic condition that primarily affects the endothelial cells of the cornea, which are responsible for maintaining the cornea's clarity by regulating fluid levels.

In Fuchs dystrophy, there is a gradual buildup of protein deposits called guttae on the inner surface of the cornea. These guttae interfere with the normal functioning of the endothelial cells, leading to various vision problems.
